Staying in Kelseyville puts a waterfront picnic or day on Clear Lake just minutes away. To launch a boat or simply enjoy the views, check out Lakeside County Park or Clear Lake State Park.
To get above it all, tackle the steep, but so-worth-it hike to the top of Mt. Konocti. It’s roughly six miles round trip, with the option of adding mileage by hitting more than one of the composite volcano’s peaks. The highest point, Wright Peak (4,299) houses a fire lookout tower and offers 360-degree views of Clear Lake, Mt. Saint Helena and Mt. Lassen.

Kelseyville’s farm to table bistro, the Saw Shop, serves up elevated favorites and inventive farm-to-table cuisine. Their rotating menu taps into the seasonal bounty of local farms in a wisteria laden front porch setting.
Slightly off the beaten path, Live Oak Grill is your quintessential roadside diner. It’s a greasy spoon in the best possible way and excels at down-home breakfast dishes and hearty indulgences like chili cheese fries.
Where to Drink

Lake County is wine country, but if vino really isn’t your thing, swing by Kelsey Creek Brewing for local craft beer or the friendly vine-covered dive, Brick Tavern for something a little stronger, and a great pool table.
Konocti Vista – a tribal-owned casino with slots and table games – pours from a well-appointed bar, and features half-priced drinks for ladies on Wednesday nights and daily happy hour specials.
